Evan wood

Evan Wood is a Connecticut-based drummer, bandleader, DJ, and creative. Through his many performance styles, whether as a bandleader or sideman, Evan expresses his creativity through a true love for the music he plays. Evan's love of artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Jimi Hendrix, and Kaytranada can be heard through all of his endeavors.

Evan leads his own bands, playing the music of jazz, dance, and hip-hop greats while exploring and pushing the boundaries of these genres. Aside from leading bands, Evan is an avid sideman for various jazz acts in New England, New York City, and Philadelphia. Evan is currently performing regularly as a bandleader, sideman, and DJ within Northeast markets.

Evan has performed and worked with artists such as Delfaeyo Marsalis, Eric Alexander, Jonathan Barber, Dan Liparini, and Matt Dwonszyk.
